Pritish Anand joins our organization as volunteer in March 2021 and as Team Lead in June 2021.
Pritish Anand is an education sector leader who carries 6 and a half years of experience working as a teacher, program manager, curriculum designer, and leadership coach for aspiring leaders in the education sector. He is a Teach For India Alumnus from the 2013 cohort where he taught students from low-income backgrounds to bridge their learning gaps and give them an excellent education. In the same organization, he has also worked as a Program Manager and Program Coach where he has managed and coached teachers and Program Managers to be long-term leaders in the education sector.
Apart from Teach For India, he has worked with leading social sector organizations like International Sanctuary, and Lead School towards enabling excellent education through teaching, mentoring, and curriculum design. He has completed his B.Tech. from VIT University, Vellore in 2013. It was during the 3rd year of his college, where he realized his calling towards social and public impact. During this time, he developed a skill development sustainable business model for 15 socially marginalized women in Vellore that would empower them with vocational employable skills. This plan won the Best Business plan at PowerToEmpower, a national-level business plan competition by NSDC and India@75.
Born and brought up in small towns in Bihar and Jharkhand, Pritish has experienced the need for social equity and justice first hand. Having worked at the grassroots towards enabling education for many, he wants to explore and enable education equity through the lens of school and program development both at scale and depth. He wants to research and implement the possible educational reforms that could bring social equity and justice for the most marginalized sections of society. In the past, he has also been selected for the Audacious Leadership Programme, an experiential leadership unit by Deakin University, Australia where he learned what courage and risks look like in leadership roles like these. As he took leadership projects in the social sector at scale, he has closely observed the gap between educational policy creation and implementation within different sections of society especially the marginalized ones. This gap brings him to Seeds Of Love where he would lead the development of a model education program for students from under-served communities and scale it with the support of a dedicated team.
